These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GreenLight ScreenTime iOS application and related services ("Service"), operated by Colin Griffin ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using GreenLight, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GreenLight is a screen time accountability app that allows users to block distracting apps on a schedule and request temporary access through an accountability buddy system. The Service includes features such as app blocking, buddy requests and approvals, focus scoring, groups, challenges, and leaderboards.

3. Account Registration

To use GreenLight, you must create an account using your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

4. SMS Verification

GreenLight uses SMS to verify your phone number during registration and login. By providing your phone number and tapping "Send Code", you consent to receive a one-time verification SMS. Standard message and data rates may apply. No marketing or promotional messages are sent via SMS.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent app blocking mechanisms
• Harass, bully, or abuse other users through the buddy or group features
• Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the Service

6. Screen Time & Device Permissions

GreenLight uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to block and unblock apps. By granting Screen Time permissions, you authorize GreenLight to manage app access according to your configured schedules and buddy approvals. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

7. Buddy & Group Features

GreenLight's buddy and group features enable social accountability. By using these features, you agree that your display name, Focus Score, and challenge participation may be visible to your buddies and group members. You are responsible for who you connect with.

8. Pricing & Subscriptions

GreenLight is currently free during the beta period. We may introduce paid features in the future. Any pricing changes will be communicated in advance, and core buddy accountability features will remain accessible.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with GreenLight are the property of Colin Griffin. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

GreenLight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that app blocking will work perfectly in all scenarios. Screen Time enforcement depends on Apple's FamilyControls framework, which is outside our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Colin Griffin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost productivity, data loss, or inability to access apps.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@greenlightapp.org.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
